sodium bromide
Molecular formula: NaBr
Molecular weight: 102.89
CAS No.: 7647-15-6
EC No.: 231-599-9
Sodium Bromide is a single salt (NaBr). It has the following feature and benefits:
- It is non-damaging to the formation,
- It is thermally and chemically stable,
- It can be blended with other solutions of bromides and chlorides, and
- It is especially useful when used in formations that are known to have calcium sensitivity.
It can be used with Sodium Chloride brine to formulate non-damaging fluids of densities from 10.0ppg to 12.7ppg. It can also be used as water treatment in pool spa, nerve ataractic in medicine, sensitive emulsions in photograph etc.
Usage: Mainly used as oil well completion liquid, workover fluid, also employed in the preparation of photographic emulsions and developers. In pharmaceutical preparations, as a wood preservative, for water treatment, as a flame retardant additive.
Package: 25kg woven bags or 1000kg big bags.
